The SMARTI team has installed a new iLog X-Ray Scanner, fully integrated into the log sorting line to enhance accuracy and quality control.
The scanner creates real-color 3D models of logs and measures volume, dimensions, and geometric imperfections to ensure precise sorting. It also detects surface defects and classifies logs according to different quality grades.
With its integrated X-ray technology, the iLog Scanner identifies internal defects that are not visible externally. Defect detection is powered by SMARTI’s in-house developed AI technology, enabling fast and reliable log classification.
This installation marks another step forward in SMARTI’s commitment to advanced, intelligent wood processing solutions.
